Inu
12 - 13 Dec
MA Site-Specific Theatre final performance piece by Olutomi Kassim.
In Yoruba, Inu means: what is not revealed, inside, womb, belly.
Based in the shop window between Costa and the new Nando’s in the Aylesham Centre on Rye Lane, Peckham, this site-specific performance installation explores themes of global capitalism and humans as a hidden commodity. With salutes to Afro-futurism, this piece uses frantic movement monologue, dialogue and playful imagery alongside splashes of African print and other colourful fabrics.
This show was performed on 12 – 13 December 2019.
