In and Out of Knowing is a new musical written and directed by Nick Bond with music and lyrics by George Parris. The story follows one man whose dementia is rapidly progressing and affecting his relationships with his loved ones. Influenced by true stories collected from interviews with members of the public, In and Out of Knowing considers the effects of dementia on those living with the condition and on those close to them.
Nick (he/him) is a musical theatre and opera director and current Young Associate Board Director for Buxton International Festival. He studied a BA in Music and Drama at the University of Manchester, where he was awarded a commendation of excellence for the Meera Syal Award for Outstanding Practical Work. Credits include: Director: Far Away (Mountview), The Enchanted Pig (Buxton International Festival and MUMS), The Lieutenant of Inishmore (UoM) and Seussical (UMMTS).
