Don't Shoot the Albatross

27 May - 10 Jun

Writer Sam Woof
Director Eleanor Felton
Producer Lowri Spear

Pop music meets poetry in this new monologue about city lights, queer night life and large seafaring birds.

Alby is negotiating gender trouble, diva-worship, social alcoholism and growing up. They’re asking the important questions: What are labels? Where does shame come from? And why is TFL so expensive?

Lowri’s work focuses on platforming queer new writing, particularly musical theatre. Most recently, she produced Smart Casual at The Cockpit, Above the Stag and The North Wall Arts Centre with her company GOYA. She is an Old Vic Frontline Facilitator, a graduate of Oxford University, and was a production intern with Aria Entertainment. You can find her on Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Duration: 45 minutes

Don’t Shoot the Albatross features homophobia, sexual assault and strong language.
