We are thrilled to announce our Summer Season of productions, showcasing the talents of our BA (Hons) Performance Acting, Actor Musicianship and Musical Theatre students, with the support of our Theatre Production Arts students.
Gas Station Angel
20 – 22 April | Backstage Theatre | Musical Theatre
The land is shrinking, crumbling and falling into the sea.
Bron and Ace drive into the middle of a Saturday night together, escaping family histories, violence, fairies and a tantrum sea. Imagination is the only route to survival and the raging sea won’t wait in this hopeful and moving love story.

The Little Mermaid
22 – 29 April | The Mack | Musical Theatre
Based on the original classic story and the beloved 1989 Disney animation of the same name, this is the tale of a mermaid who, obsessed with all of the ‘stuff’ that sinks into the sea, yearns for a life in the world above the water’s surface… This inventive and surprising production for all the family features the iconic songs ‘Part of Your World’ and ‘Under the Sea’.

Oh What a Lovely War
15 – 20 May | The Mack | Acting
A modern classic, this satirical play with music focuses on the First World War – a stripped back, raw but raucously playful tribute to the original development of the piece first created under Joan Littlewood’s direction in 1963.

20 – 25 May | Backstage Theatre | Actor Musicianship
Closely based on the lauded 2007 film of the same name by John Carney, this is a musical story of creativity and confidence, connections and responsibility; the need to create and share our talents and passions is sometimes undeniable.
