‘Mountview LIVE – Giles Terera Meets….’ launches
We’re thrilled to announce that ‘Mountview LIVE – Giles Terera meets…’ launches on Monday 11 May. In this brand new online feature, Mountview alumnus Giles Terera will host live-streamed conversations with leading figures from theatre and entertainment worlds every Monday at 6pm.
The conversations will include each guest discussing their career as well as taking questions from Mountview students. Each conversation will be hosted on Mountview’s YouTube channel.
The series will begin on Monday 11 May at 6pm, with ‘Giles Terera meets Lin-Manuel Miranda’, when Giles will interview Lin-Manuel Miranda, the multi award-winning creator of Hamilton and In the Heights.
Each subsequent conversation will take place on the following Mondays at 6pm. Mountview Honorary Doctorate Noma Dumezweni (Olivier Award winner for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and Mountview alumna and Honorary Doctorate actor/TV personality Amanda Holden will join Giles on 18 and 25 May respectively. Other guests will be announced in due course.
Giles Terera won the Best Actor in a Musical Olivier Award in 2018 for his portrayal of Aaron Burr in the original London production of Hamilton, and recently appeared in Rosmersholm at the Duke of York’s Theatre. He commented:
“I’m thrilled to be hosting Mountview LIVE – helping young artists is really important to me, and this is a fantastic opportunity for the next generation of theatre makers to learn from established figures within the industry. As I know from my time there, Mountview’s commitment to providing training for everyone is a massive part of what makes it so special and I can’t wait to get started on this project.”
Watch the ‘Mountview LIVE’ series on the Mountview YouTube page from 6pm Monday 11 May.
