We are excited to announce Mountview’s Autumn Season of productions, showcasing the talents of our BA (Hons) Performance – Acting, Actor Musicianship and Musical Theatre students, with the support of our Production Arts students.
Peter Pan
19-23 October | Backstage Theatre
“I’ll teach you how to jump on the wind’s back, and then away we go!”
Peter and friends embark on this timeless adventure, where complications and mishaps arise. But with a little imagination and help from the audience, can we put this story back together?
An original and unique take on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale about the boy who never grows up. Performed by our Actor Musicianship cohort before it tours to schools, this interactive musical adventure for families features inventive takes on pop hits, an original score and endless theatrical magic…

Fun Home
2-9 November | The Mack
“Hey Daddy, come here, okay? I need you.”
Alison Bechdel explores life, death and sexuality in this incredibly moving musical adaptation of her autobiographical graphic novel. Trying to untangle her childhood, she unlocks mysteries and confronts uncomfortable family truths.
Fun Home is a witty, honest and touching coming of age story. This first ever UK drama school production pays tribute to the Tony Award-winning original, performed by our Musical Theatre students.

Into The Woods
23-30 November | Backstage Theatre
“Be ready for the journey…”
A childless baker and his wife embark on a perilous journey through the woods, in search of their happily ever after. This mischievous and profound story, from Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, twists Brothers Grimm fairy tales together in a bewitching musical fantasy.
Performed by our Musical Theatre students to the original award-winning score, their take on this darkly comic masterpiece promises to be a magical and unforgettable experience.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

“Ill met by moonlight…”
This bold production by our Acting students dives into a psychological nightmare where love and madness blur. In an enchanted forest, four lovers lose control as magical creatures manipulate their desires. Reason crumbles, identities shift and primal instincts reign. As dawn breaks, who will awaken to their true selves?
Shakespeare’s dark comedy weaves a tale of the irrational lengths we go to for love, questioning free will and sanity under the midsummer moon.

truth and reconciliation
10-13 December | Backstage Theatre
“You will tell her that truth.”
This intensely personal and geopolitical play explores five different stories in five different countries. From Rwanda to Northern Ireland, victims and perpetrators confront each other in a series of tense and raw encounters. As they grapple with trauma, guilt, and the possibility of forgiveness, the play challenges our understanding of justice and healing.
Performed by our Acting cohort, truth and reconciliation by debbie tucker green provides a thought-provoking examination of suffering and the search for closure.
