Dramatic Combat Intensive (Intermediate)
Monday 19 August – Saturday 24 August 2024
1 week (6 days / Mon-Sat including exam)
For the first time, in summer 2024, Mountview will offer Stage Combat training to a limited number of participants in short-course format. This 6-day course, led by professional fight director and a registered BADC (British Academy of Dramatic Combat) combat instructor Marcello Marascalchi, will culminate in an in-house Exam leading to an internationally recognised BADC certification.
A BADC Intermediate qualification enables participants to work with a wider range of weapon systems and performance styles. At our state-of-the-art facilities in Peckham, for an investment of £400 (exam fee included), a maximum of 12 performers will develop and grow their level of technical mastery, control and understanding, enabling them to lean into roles as fight captains or featured fight performers.
Key Course elements:
- Safety principles
- Technical competence
- Commitment and intention
- Choreographed Sequences
- Performance context
Places on this course are limited and early registration is advised.
All individual weapon qualifications are valid for 4 years.
