EMILY ABOUD
Emily was born in Trinidad and Tobago. She trained in ballet, drama and modern dance; co-writing and performing with the national children’s theatre. Emily graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Mechanical Engineering, directing 5-star productions of Equus and The Pillowman, and additionally teaching acting workshops. For the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Emily directed a 5-star, sell-out production of the musical Spring Awakening. At Mountview, Emily has directed Microcosm by Matt Hartley and assisted Jay Villiers on Vernon God Little.
DANIEL AUSTIN-BOYD
Daniel Austin-Boyd graduated from McGill University with a BA in Geography. He has directed: Blithe Spirit at Players’ Theatre in Montreal, Canada; Rent at Moyse Hall, also in Montreal; and has co-directed at the Toronto Fringe Festival. At Mountview Daniel has assistant directed on Guys and Dolls and will be assistant directing on The Seagull and The Alchemist in the coming months. Daniel will also be directing Five Women Wearing The Same Dress and a final showcase.
KENNEDY BLOOMER
Kennedy has previously directed The Taming of the Shrew for the Cambridge American Stage Tour, touring the East Coast of America. She graduated from University of Cambridge, studying BA Education with English and Drama, where she directed the Footlights annual pantomime: The Emperor’s New Clothes at the ADC Theatre. At Mountview, Kennedy has assisted Calamity Janedirected by John Ward, Into the Woods directed by Adam Welsh, The Three Sisters directed by Peter James and directed Frozen by Bryony Lavery.
KAYLA FELDMAN
Kayla studied Theatre and Performance at Leeds University, where she worked on numerous productions in various roles, including directing The Aleph by Eli Keren and Backstage to Front. With a background as a writer, her focus as a director is mainly in collaboration with writers on new work. She has worked internationally, as a stage manager for the McGill Drama Festival at Players’ Theatre in Montreal, a Literary Associate for Abingdon Theatre Company in New York, and assistant director for Encompass Productions in London. Mountview credits include directing Numbers by Kieron Barry, and assistant directing Grand Hotel by Luther Davis and All’s Well That Ends Well. www.pursuedbybears.wordpress.com
ALICE FITZGERALD
Alice studied Drama at the University of Exeter where she directed six productions, including The Kitchen Sink at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Since graduating Alice has worked at the Finborough Theatre, where she assistant stage managed Flowering Cherry, and was assistant director on Merit directed by Tom Littler. At Mountview Alice has directed The Effect by Lucy Prebble and assisted on The Tempest directed by Dan Herd. Upcoming assisting projects include Brixton Rock directed by Ned Bennett and Clybourne Park directed by Max Key.
SILVER PEREIRA
Joana Pereira (Silver) has a bachelor in Drama, from ESAD.cr in Portugal. For two years, she worked in the theatre company Actus as an actress, doing shows around the country while also presenting her online show Programa da Ju. She did some short films and worked as a model and as a writer. She founded her own theatre company (Bons Augúrios) three years ago, where she works as a director, writer and actress, and has staged nine different productions so far.
KOLJA SCHALLENBERG
Kolja was born and raised between Germany and Sweden. He trained in classical singing, studied Theatre Management and was highly acclaimed for his work as playwright and theatre director at Schauspielhaus Dortmund, National Theatre Bochum, National Theatre Nürnberg, to name just a few. Recently he was Artistic Director for the highly regarded productions shown all over the world on board of AIDA Cruises, the biggest cruise ship company in Germany. DENZEL WESTLEY-SANDERSON
Denzel was awarded a first-class honours degree in Theatre and Professional Practice from Coventry University. Directing credits include Eugene Ionesco’s The Chairs and The Playhouse Creatures by April De Angelis. Denzel has also assistant directed on productions such as The Picture of Dorian Grey and Raving by Simon Paisley Day. At Mountview his assisting projects include A Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Wild Duck and Urinetown. Denzel will direct Eigengrauand the world premiere of Saturday by Peter Imms.
