Martin is a composer, pianist and music director who trained at Trinity College of Music, London with Anthony Lindsay and Simon Young.
As composer for theatre (Improbable Tales, Song of Songs, The Notebook of Trigorin, Art of War), concert work (World’s Wife, Preludes, The Hart) and dance (Street Song), current compositional focus rests upon the re-telling of folk literature of Eastern Europe and the diaspora.
In addition to extensive performance credits as recital accompanist and orchestral pianist on West End productions, Martin has also served as Music Director for Cameron Mackintosh, The Really Useful Group, David Ian, Qdos, Noel Gay Management, Cole Kitchenn, Watermill Theatre, Leicester Haymarket Theatre and Mountview.
Prior to his appointment at Mountview in 2015, Martin worked as a lecturer and vocal coach at Arts Ed, East 15 Acting School, GSA, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Urdang Academy.
