Martin trained at the Guildford School of Acting and since graduating in 2001 has worked extensively as a Deputy, Stage and Company Manager. West End credits include Hamlet (recorded for the BBC), The Homecoming, The Spoils, Avenue Q and The Rocky Horror Show (including live international broadcast). Touring productions include Journey’s End, South Pacific, Rock of Ages and Spamalot. Other work includes new writing at Hampstead Theatre, numerous pantomimes and seasons at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. In 2018 Martin completed the City & Guilds Level 3 in Education & Training for teaching in higher education.
