Mountview is one of the UK’s leading drama schools. We offer professional vocational training at Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level in performance and production arts, alongside evening, weekend and holiday classes for all.

We present around 25 productions across the year including classic plays, new writing and musicals, and our studios, meeting rooms, theatres and workspace are available to hire.

Development Committee Members

We are looking for new members to join our Development Committee, to support and champion fundraising at Mountview through the next period of our development.

We are keen to hear from applicants from any background who meet the Person Specification below, but are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with one or more of the following areas of expertise:

Banking / Finance
Law
Private Equity
Tech Industry
Global Family Offices
Those with strong connections to Trusts & Foundations
Those with a strong connection to Peckham and its surrounding areas, including East Dulwich, Dulwich Village and Herne Hill

Ptaszynski Producer

The Ptaszynski Producer is a one-year fixed-term post designed to foster the development of an early-career producer. This post responds to the lack of representation amongst producers in UK theatre from diverse backgrounds.

The Producer will work with Mountview’s Head of Public Performance to help coordinate a programme of approximately 25 undergraduate and postgraduate productions across our two venues, and will assist with producing/coordinating a range of educational activities in the building and beyond. The Producer will support the institution to widen engagement, expand the reach of our work, develop our outward facing programme and bring insights to this role grounded in lived experience.

SALARY: Circa £26-28K per annum, depending on experience.

Chair of the Board

With our current Chair, Dame Rosemary Squire, stepping down at the end of her term in Spring 2025, we are now seeking an inspirational and experienced leader to steer and drive the Board and Executive, increasing our reach, output and impact, and ensuring our sustainability.
 
Our new Chair will share our commitment to growth, help us to continue our increasing brand recognition and to fundraise effectively, while ensuring that we have a strong Board of dynamic and engaged Trustees. They will help us nurture our strong partnership with the London Borough of Southwark and support our local commitments. They will ensure that our courses remain at the forefront of drama training, challenging the status quo whilst providing for the industry’s long-term needs. As important will be a commitment to diversity and inclusion, mindful of the communities which Mountview serves and our commitment to supporting the most talented and ambitious students,
whatever their background.

Technician – Carpentry Bias

Technicians are key members of Mountview’s Technical and Production department. Reporting to the Head of Technical and Production, the post holders will be primarily responsible for helping facilitate the technical requirements of, and providing technical support to, in-house and visiting productions and events.
