Mountview is one of the UK’s leading drama schools. We offer professional vocational training at Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level in performance and production arts, alongside evening, weekend and holiday classes for all.

CERT HE TUTOR (DANCE), LONDON (FIXED TERM TO APRIL 2025)

The CertHE Tutor is a key member of Mountview’s CertHE team, responsible for delivering dance classes across both CertHE pathways (Acting and Musical Theatre) at our London home in Peckham, assessing student learning and progression at that centre, and contributing to the development of the dance curriculum for the CertHE course across all delivery locations.

Reporting to the CertHE Course Leader, London, the post holder will help ensure that students receive the highest possible levels of tuition, guidance and support, and that training is responsive to students’ individual development and the needs of the professional creative industries.

SALARY: Circa £29K per annum, depending on experience

Chair of the Board

With our current Chair, Dame Rosemary Squire, stepping down at the end of her term in January 2025, we are now seeking an inspirational and experienced leader to steer and drive the Board and Executive, increasing our output successfully and ensuring our sustainability.

A commitment of substantial time and energy will be required to undertake and fulfil the role. The appointment will be for an initial period of three years, with the option of an extension for one further term of three years, subject to the approval of Board. A process of regular board appraisal is undertaken.

The role is unremunerated, although incidental expenses can be paid.

Development Committee Members

We are looking for new members to join our Development Committee, to support and champion fundraising at Mountview through the next period of our development.

We are keen to hear from applicants from any background who meet the Person Specification below, but are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with one or more of the following areas of expertise:

Banking / Finance
Law
Private Equity
Tech Industry
Global Family Offices
Those with strong connections to Trusts & Foundations
Those with a strong connection to Peckham and its surrounding areas, including East Dulwich, Dulwich Village and Herne Hill

Generation Next Facilitators

Mountview’s flagship programme for young people, Generation Next offers confidence and skills-building workshops for young people aged 6 – 18, mainly on Saturdays, in school term-time. A bursary scheme supports access to this initiative.

We are currently looking to expand our pool of freelance facilitators ahead of the autumn term 2024. We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers of acting, singing, dance, and musical theatre, and are always open to discussing the possible addition of activities that we don’t currently offer on the programme. We are also looking for Musical Directors to support our West End Workshops.
